CAIS School Entry Assessments
The Charlotte Area Independent Schools (CAIS) Consortium consists of Charlotte Christian School, Charlotte Country Day School, Charlotte Latin School, Charlotte Preparatory School, Covenant Day School, Providence Day School, and Trinity Episcopal School. This elite organization of privately funded institutions is contracted with local providers to offer their applicants a discounted testing rate of $300.00 for both the WPPSI-IV and WISC-V assessments. PLEASE NOTE: Your child’s test results must be submitted to one of the CAIS schools in order to qualify for the discounted rate. Non-CAIS School Entry Assessments
Applicants for early kindergarten entry, as well as those applying for admission into a North Carolina public charter school or a non-CAIS privately funded institution are often required to complete aptitude and/or achievement testing as a part of the application process. The fee for these assessments generally range from $475.00 to $625.00 depending upon the testing requirements established by the school of choice. Because of the limited availability and high demand for school entry assessments, a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required at the time of scheduling to secure your child’s appointment. The remaining balance will be due in full at the time of the appointment. Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations
The self-pay rate for psychological testing generally ranges from $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 depending upon the client’s testing needs. However, many major insurance providers offer partial, if not full, coverage for psychological testing. While PACC is unable to guarantee payment on your insurance payer’s behalf, we are more than happy to assist you with verifying your coverage and associated testing benefits. Eligibility Evaluations for Individuals with Disabilities
Individuals presenting with intellectual and developmental disabilities are oftentimes eligible for Medicaid coverage in the state of North Carolina. While Eligibility Evaluations are covered by Medicaid, individual Medicaid plans have varying restrictions and stipulations surrounding psychological testing that must be considered and adhered to when devising a testing battery on the client’s behalf. As such, it is of integral importance that clients and their caregivers remain abreast of their insurance status and coverage limitations.
