Testing
Thank you for your interest in scheduling CAIS testing for your child. Appointment scheduling will begin on September 2nd, 2025. Please note that most psychologists operate independently, so it may take up to 48 hours to receive a response regarding appointment availability or answers to your questions. Some psychologists offer online scheduling, while others prefer to coordinate directly with parents. Rest assured, there are ample appointment slots available for all applicants, so there is no need to worry about securing a spot!

CAIS Testing Information
Rising JK/TK, Kindergarten, or 1st Grade Applicants:
The Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence—Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV) will be individually administered. Appointments generally last 45 to 60 minutes. Please ensure that your child is at least 4 years old by the scheduled testing date.
Rising 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Grade Applicants:
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children—Fifth Edition (WISC-V) will be individually administered. Appointments typically last 60 to 90 minutes.

CAIS Testing and Application Deadlines
Testing Deadlines:

TK/JK/KG CAIS Testing - Complete by February 1, 2025

Grades 1-4 CAIS Testing - Complete by February 21, 2025
Application Deadlines:

TK/JK/KG Application Deadline to CAIS Schools - December 31, 2025

Grades 1-4 Application Deadline for CAIS Schools - January 15, 2025

CAIS Fees, Payment Methods, and Cancellation Policy
Fees and Payment:
The fee for CAIS testing is $300, which includes test administration and electronic delivery of results to you and the schools to which your child is applying.

Payments via credit card or Zelle are required within 24 hours of scheduling. *Note - not all psychologists offer this form of payment.

If you prefer to pay by check, please inform your psychologist; a one-week grace period is available for check payments only
Cancellation Policy:
Once payment is made, a nonrefundable $100 fee applies to all cancellations. Per CAIS guidelines, cancellations within 72 hours of your scheduled appointment are not eligible for a refund. For Monday appointments, cancellations must be made by the preceding Wednesday. If an unforeseen circumstance arises within 72 hours of your appointment, please contact your provider immediately to discuss rescheduling options.

Additional Information
An optional parent-only feedback session is available if you would like further insight into your child’s performance and the educational implications associated with such. This session will not be covered by insurance and will be billed in accordance with CAIS suggested and/or contracted rates.
